Jane
embarked on her career in make-up over fifteen years ago. She gradually built
up her client base by testing and working for free and was soon working on
beauty and fashion shoots for magazines such as 19, Company and B. Simultaneously
she began working on TV commercials whilst building a solid working relationship
with now world renowned music photographer Kevin Westenberg whom she still
works with regularly; clients included bands and artists such as Depeche Mode,
Rod Stewart, Bryan Ferry, The Charlatans and Richard Ashcroft to name a few.
In 1992 she moved to Hong Kong where she spent two years working and travelling
across far east Asia on shoots with oriental models, working both in advertising
and fashion for the leading Chinese publications. She worked on campaigns
for Maybelline cosmetics and took part in a much publicised launch of the
brand in Bangkok.
Returning in 1994 she joined The Worx agency where her career began to flourish,
and three years later was taken on by leading hair and make-up agency Mandy
Coakley who represent her to the present day. She travels all over the world
on fashion shoots to locations such as Australia, the Maldives, Switzerland
and Venice. She has worked with many of the top photographers and supermodels
in London and has shot for most of the glossy magazines including Elle, Marie
Claire, Harpers, Cosmo and Vanity fair; the list goes on. She continues to
work on music videos, commercials, fashion and beauty shoots and with celebrities;
she is the personal make-up artist for Patsy Kensit and June Sarpong for
all their tv and magazine shoots. Jane has worked on fashion campaigns for
Stella McCartney with Kate Moss as well as regularly doing Stella's personal
make-up. Other than Maybelline she has done several make-up campaigns for
Max Factor, Collection 2000, Boots 17, Bodyshop and numerous projects with
Avon.
Jane has appeared on C4's 10 Years Younger as a make-up expert managing to
help take 15 years off her subject. She is also regularly quoted in fashion
and beauty magazines and is on the panel for Handbag.com and In Style magazine's
annual 'Best Beauty Buys'.
