Q: What has prompted you to produce your make-up DVD?

A: I'm constantly surprised how often models and celebrities ask me how I get their make-up to look so great; I presumed they'd already know. I realised women are not learning these make-up skills by traditional means. I'm also aware that women constantly compare themselves to images seen on magazine covers and advertising campaigns and may feel defeated by comparison. My aim is to instil confidence in women and urge them to try out different make-up looks and show them that we can all look fantastic given the know how from a professional.

Q: Why are all the models featured in the DVD fair skinned?

A: I thought it impossible to cover all aspects of make-up for all skin tones in one DVD. This is the first in a series, and future ones will include black, mixed race, Asian and Oriental skin tones too.

Q: Why make a DVD as opposed to a book?

A: We live in an age where time is at a premium. A DVD delivers information in a faster, clearer, precise, audible and much more exciting way than a book.

Q: Why a make-up DVD?

A: There are dozens of DVD's teaching us how to get the perfect body, but nothing to show us how to get the perfect face - there is clearly a gap in the market.

Q: Who taught you how to apply make-up?

A: I'm mainly self taught and have a natural feel for make-up. Over the years I've perfected my art and decided it was time to share my knowledge.

Q: Why did you decide against sponsorship by a make-up brand?

A: If we, Prettycool Productions, had a brand on board the DVD would be perceived as a selling tool for that particular make-up. We want to encourage women to experiment with different products and not necessarily be seduced by clever marketing and expensive packaging.
